IndianCenter: I was thinking of the indian center as something different. I am imagining it as a museum almost full of native american things to look at and learn about. I did learn about the how the native americans were repressed in the seventies so they had a safe haven to go to when the indian center was organized. It is  a great part of the community that helps out a lot of people. I am glad that I now know about it.

Teach the Children- I feel like a kid in a candy store in that store. I touch everything and have to read what everything is for. I have been in there before and once when it was on the other side of the road. Every time I go there I just want to buy everything I see. I really did learn a lot about the teaching profession and there is so much to know. I really enjoyed getting the catalog because now I can dream about my make believe classroom when I am at home.

Farmington Museum- All these years I have actually want to go in. I really didn't know anything about it: Cost, hours of operation, or even what was inside, so I just never made an attempt. I really enjoyed the feel of the museum, because it was very fun for the eyes. I was able to learn a lot about the Farmington area and I was very impressed with the exhibits that they have designed. Going in the back of the museum was my favorite part. I could stay in there all day and look at old things. Most of the artifacts remind me of things I see in my grandmas house. They used to own a store on Main Street of years and years until they retired. And the store was still packed with supplies so they can a lot of it at their house. I love to look at vintage items. It was super exciting for me. I would defiantly go there again and take my future classroom there as well.

Farmington Special Preschool- This field trip really made me miss teaching preschool. I love the little songs, little crafts and the little children's playhouses. It was so much fun to see that school and see how it is ran. I learned a lot about teaching children that do not know English, cannot hear as well as other children, and children will special needs. I really enjoyed the opportunity to hear from the teachers on how they do things in their own classroom to allow the children to learn the best they can . It was an eye opening experience to learn about the different special needs children that attend there and how they are assisted to help their knowledge expand. They are very helpful and I don't think that they think of the children as a hinderance to the other learners in the classroom. The special preschool is a place of happiness and comfort that the children can enjoy everyday. I actually am thinking about my child attending, it would be a great experience for her.

Farmington Public Library- I go to the Library a couple of times a month with my family but I learned more about the resources I can get with the tour we went on. I learned about how we can order things, where to find books on CD, how the computers work, and so much more. I really enjoyed this field trip because all the information is so relevant and extremely helpful in the teaching field. It is a place to go when there is no funding for your classroom. There is so much for children to do there that it would be an awesome field trip for them as well. Story hour, computers, books, and the teen zone could really help them get hooked on books. I am glad that we were able to have the tour. I enjoyed everything so much.

Sycamore Community Center- I really liked learning about what the center provides for the surrounding community. I believe that the are doing great things for the students that go to the schools nearby and their families. They have very wonderful programs available for the kids to participate in and involve get their families involved as well. I still find it really really...unordinary that the parents of the children just drop them off without being in contact with the adults present. I could not just leave my children there without proper supervision even when they are old enough. I am very glad that the children have a safe place to go after school to be apart of wonderful opportunities that the community center has to offer them. I am very pleased to see what they are doing for the children.

Childrens museum- Cherisa and I planned the E3 visit and I used to love it when I was younger. It has changed a lot from what I remember in 3rd grade and it seems to have gotten smaller...but I was littler then, so who knows. I really like the museum coordinator and her enthusiasm. I also enjoyed the "painting with masking tape" activity that we did and I plan on using it with my future classroom. It teaches patience and creativity. I had a lot of fun there. Now I know where to get my Science and Math resources. I am very thankful that they are here and I plan on taking my kids to play and learn there. It was a great field trip, if I say so myself.

Art exhibit and Navajo restaurant- I really enjoyed visiting Anthony Chee's art exhibit. It was very nice to also learn about his art and what inspires him as an artist. Even though he wasn't there, I was very glad to have his wife there to speak. It was a great way to understand him through his wife's eyes. The art that he had on display was very well laid out and was pleasing to the eye. The Navajo restaurant had just opened and we were very fortunate to be there as they were developing it. It is going to be a huge asset to the Farmington community.
